"Cheese" for Breakfast

While eating breakfast this morning, this adorable little man kept looking at me and saying "Cheese!" - his cue for wanting me to take his picture.  How can I resist anything when this cutie asks so sweetly?

Spring Hat Parade

Katelee's second grade at school had a Spring Hat Parade the Friday before Easter weekend, and every student was asked to design and create their own spring hat.  Katelee is such a creative girl; this kind of assignment is right up her alley!  She pulled out the markers and pipe cleaners and had a ball making her adorable one-of-a-kind Spring Hat for the parade!

Sticker Trouble

This cute trouble maker has discovered my box of stickers I use for piano lessons.  If I don't remember to place it out of sight when done teaching, this inevitably happens! Ha ha!

A Day in Pictures: Katelee's Baptism

A big thank you to my generous sister-in-law Bonnie who took these beautiful pictures of the day for me, and Tiffany Moody, my talented friend who took Katelee's professional baptism photos show here.

A Special Night

On March 29, we had the marvelous blessing of being part of a historic event.  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had a General Women's Meeting, for all girls and women ages 8 and up.  This is the first time for this General Women's Meeting, and we felt so lucky that Katelee had just turned 8 years old weeks before!

We were so excited to go to this meeting together!  We had been talking about it for weeks!  Katelee got a new journal in which to take notes, and we prayed that we could have a good experience and feel the spirit.  Before the meeting, Katelee and I went out for dinner (Burger King - Kate's choice!) and then we enjoyed the meeting at our stake center via broadcast.  It was really amazing, and there was such a strong spirit.  Katelee really felt the spirit, and told me so several times.  Katelee took pages of notes, and was so proud of herself!

I feel indescribably blessed to be a woman in the LDS Church.  It is a privilege beyond compare.  I feel a great responsibility and joy to be a small part of helping to raise the next generation of faithful and strong women of this church.  We have so much to learn from each other as sisters, regardless of our ages.

If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the General Women's Meeting, I can't recommend it highly enough!  You can watch it in its entirety here.

Thanksgiving Point Spring Break

We love living so close to Thanksgiving Point.  Over spring break we made a point of visiting the beautiful gardens, the farm, and the Dino Museum.  Hooray for annual passes!  We love this place!
